Sofia Oliver - Operations manager

Sofia joined the MFC in August 2023 as the Operations Manager. She brings her love of plants and experience working in the nursery and flower farm worlds together with her background in operations management, marketing & communications to help us spread more locally-grown Maine flowers across the state.

 
 
 

Luke Maccormick - market floor lead

Luke joined the MFC in April 2024 as the Market Floor Lead. He is excited to bring his experience in farming and farmers markets to the MFC in-person wholesale market. Luke has worked on veggie farms in Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Maine, and is starting his own micro flower farm this spring. He is looking forward to making the market a fun and productive experience for growers and buyers in the collective.

Michelle began her studio-based floral design company in 2018 with a love for local and seasonal blooms and foliage. Primarily designing weddings, Michelle finds herself up and down Maine's Southern region and into New Hampshire throughout each season. Michelle and her husband also own and operate Rivard Farm, where they grow blueberries and cut flowers.

Mary Lou has 40+ years in the green industry. She is currently intensively farming and foraging on six acres in central Maine, marketing vegetables and flowers through farmers’ markets and wholesale direct to florists.

Carolyn and her family grow flowers from April to Thanksgiving, starting with daffodils and hyacinths and ending with kales and dried flowers in holiday centerpieces. They specialize in textures, greens, pods, and lots of lovely flowers to adorn your home, office, and events with, creating a celebratory mood and connecting our human experiences to the natural world.

Ryan and his wife Courtney own and operate Mare Brook Farm where they grow specialty cut flowers, certified organic edible flowers and herbs, and sustainably harvest evergreens. Mare Brook offers flowers through our CSAs, retail partners, special event work, and wholesale buyers. They are looking forward to working with the Maine Flower Collective to infuse more local blooms and more joy throughout the state.

Brianne is the owner and lead floral designer of stem & vine, a floral boutique located in Biddeford, ME where she creates bouquets, specialty floral arrangements, and offers floral design for weddings and events all over New England.

Abby is the farmer florist behind Black Dog Blooms, a family-owned specialty cut flower farm & floral shop located in Dexter, ME focused on specialty flowers and arrangements. Their goal is to bring luxurious, seasonal, and fresh blooms to their surrounding community that are grown naturally and sustainably.

Katie Lovins is the founder and lead floral designer of Clo Floral, an abstract contemporary design studio based in Yarmouth, ME. Primarily designing for weddings and events, Katie draws inspiration from nature and the seasons.

Julia operates Paint Box Flower Farm with her family where they have been growing flowers since 2019 to sell in their local community.  At Paint Box Flower Farm they use sustainable farming practices with a critical eye for quality for all of their buyers.
